xmonad
A dynamic X11 tiling window manager configured in Haskell, where users can define layouts, key bindings, rules and hooks as code. Layouts can be changed or selected per workspace, and the functional configuration model makes deep customisation a central part of the project. Started in 2007 by Spencer Janssen, Don Stewart and Jason Creighton after they explored alternatives to existing tiling managers.
