niri

A Wayland compositor with scrollable tiling: windows form a horizontal strip that can extend beyond the screen, while each monitor has independent workspaces. KDL configuration controls layouts, input, rules and outputs; the design takes cues from PaperWM without depending on GNOME Shell. Niri’s scrollable tiling design was heavily inspired by PaperWM, while its compositor architecture separates it from the GNOME Shell extension model.
