Metacity

GNOME’s traditional X11 stacking window manager, now also used by GNOME Flashback sessions. It focuses on window placement, focus, keyboard navigation and themed decorations rather than providing a complete desktop; GSettings controls many preferences and themes supply the frame appearance. Havoc Pennington designed and implemented Metacity as GNOME’s window manager.
