lwm

A minimal X11 stacking manager with bare window frames and almost no desktop chrome. It deliberately leaves menus, panels, launchers and workspace tools to other programs, making it suitable for users assembling a small custom session. The author describes lwm as drawing inspiration from Plan 9’s 8½ and 9wm, favouring a deliberately unobtrusive X11 interface.
