Gamescope

Valve’s Wayland micro-compositor for games, used either embedded directly on a display or nested inside a regular desktop. It isolates a game’s display surface to manage resolution, scaling, frame presentation and related gaming workflows without replacing the host desktop session. Gamescope was formerly called steamcompmgr; the project expanded from the embedded SteamOS use case to nested desktop use.
