Blackbox

A compact C++ X11 stacking manager with themeable decorations, menus and workspaces, designed as a standalone alternative to a full desktop environment. Its own theme system controls the visual style, while menus and startup configuration provide the main points for adapting a session. Brad Hughes designed and coded Blackbox beginning in 1997, emphasizing memory efficiency and avoiding external library dependencies.
