AfterStep

An X11 stacking desktop with virtual workspaces, themes, menus and modular dock-like applications, using a visual style inspired by NeXTSTEP. Its modules can be launched and configured independently, and text-based settings let users shape both window behaviour and the surrounding desktop. AfterStep originated as a continuation of the BowMan window manager, which was based on FVWM; it later developed into a distinct NeXTSTEP-inspired desktop.
